Zone C Status Update 03/17/20

The Zone C project continues to move forward with some delays in underground utility locates and utility conflicts that have required a few minor design changes.

The placement of the backbone duct and handholes for Area 1 of Zone C should be completed this week. Area 1 includes Sue Street, Humphrey, Brook Bend, West Creek, Tina Circle, and Edgebrook.

The fiber will soon be pulled through the duct and spliced. We will soon be ready to place the drops to the customer homes. This means that YK crew members will be on customer property and will need access to yards and fenced in areas. Our crew members will notify the property owner when we arrive to place the drops.

Underground utility locating is still happening and we are making some slight changes to our plans to avoid other underground infrastructure. Construction has officially began with the placement of handholes along Sue Street.
